This Privacy Policy explains how InterSemester Studio ("InterSemester", "we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use our mobile application on Android and our website. We are dedicated to providing a transparent, student-centric service that eliminates academic confusion without compromising personal security.

02. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information required to synchronize your batch timetable and deliver verified classroom notifications:
- Academic Selection: Your college or university name, department, academic year, and section code (e.g., "IIT-A, ECE, 3rd Year, Section B").
- Device & Push Tokens: Anonymous Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens utilized strictly to deliver timely lecture schedule shifts and morning routine alarms.
- Local Cache Data: Timetable data and offline notes stored locally on your device for uninterrupted offline utility during spotty campus Wi-Fi.
- Optional Inquiries: Name and institutional email when you submit a CR verification request or college partnership inquiry.
03. How Batch Routine Synchronization Works
InterSemester routines are communal to your section. When a verified Class Representative (CR) or university coordinator updates a timetable entry (for example, moving "Data Structures" from Room 319 to LT-2), this change propagates to students who have selected that specific section.
Your personal profile, app usage statistics, and local notes are never broadcast or shared with other members of your section.
04. Student Data Protection & Security
All communication between the InterSemester mobile application and our backend infrastructure is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS).
- No Ad Networks: We run zero third-party tracking pixels, advertising SDKs, or monetization analytics in the app.
- Minimal Permissions: InterSemester requests only essential Android permissions (Notifications and Network Access) and does not require access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or precise GPS location.
05. Third-Party Service Providers
To provide reliable high-availability synchronization, we partner with trusted cloud providers:
- Google Cloud & Firebase: For real-time database sync, push notifications, and hosting.
- Google Play Services: For secure app distribution and automated app updates.
06. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You retain complete control over your app data. You can switch your college section, clear local cache, or uninstall the app at any time without leaving residual tracking identifiers.
